This 7 days Gorilla, Chimps and wildlife safari starts in Kampala where you will embark on a journey of beautiful memories to the south western part of Uganda for a primates tracking experience then later to the western part of the pearl for a wildlife adventure where you will have an opportunity to interact with almost 100 mammal species, 50 reptile species and a remarkable 606 bird species in one of the most beautiful parks in Uganda. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Located in the west of the great African rift valley, it’s bordered by Rwenzori mountain ranges and gifted with dozens of mirror surfaced crater lakes, salty and freshwater lakes. You are in for a spectacular sight around the tourist village on the Mweya Peninsula where the elephants, schools of hippos, the elusive giant forest hog and handsome Uganda Kobs regularly gather at the waterfront.
Leave Kampala in the morning for Fortportal town and have your lunch there.
Take a guided tour of Bigodi swamp sanctuary neighboring Kibale national park. It has been called a birders’ paradise and you will be able to see the great Blue Turacos, the blue kingfisher, cranes, hornbills and about 200 other bird species.
Have your dinner and overnight at the accommodation of your choice
Spend your day tracking chimpanzees and other primates such as the Red colubus monkeys, Blue, Red and Grey tailed magabeys. You will also enjoy this splendid multi – canopied tropical forest. You will find this guided tour very informative and enjoyable as you navigate a variety of flaura and fauna. The keen eye will see Butterflies, reptiles and amphibians of unique colours and patterns.
Lunch in the forest
Retire for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
After breakfast, set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park as you enjoy the scenic Rwenzori mountains in your vicinity.
En route, you may view lions, antelopes, elephants, buffalos and other mammal species.
Arrive in Mweya in time for lunch
After lunch, take a boat cruise on Kazinga channel which hosts the biggest population of hippos in Africa and a variety of bird species. The bird population is impressive with about 500 species resident.
Spend overnight at either Mweya Safari Lodge or another facility of your choice.
After an early breakfast, take a morning game drive.
Return to Mweya for lunch
After lunch, go to Kyambura gorge for chimps tracking, nature walk and bird watching
Dine and spend the overnight at your hotel / lodge
After an early breakfast, depart from Queen Elizabeth and head for Bwindi
You will pass through the beautiful Kigezi hills, artistically terraced by local farmers.
Have your lunch enroute
Arrive in Bwindi in the evening, have your dinner and spend overnight at Silverback lodge.
Have a very early breakfast then head for the impenetrable forest.
Track gorillas all day and have your packed lunch under the serene cover of the forest.
Return in the evening to your lodge for dinner and overnight
After your breakfast in Bwindi, set off for Kampala via Kabale, a district with majestic undulating slopes decorated with terraces and vegetation cover.
Stop over in Mbarara at Igongo cultural centre for an informative tour of the museum of South Western Uganda
Have lunch at Igongo restaurant
Proceed to Kampala. You could arrive in the evening
